WOW is so much BS that Japanese ans chinese can use american characters on their user names and we cant. It really bugs me that, we can use Chenese or japanese characters on our User names

Let me help you re-word your petition.

Please allow all language across all server. Reason: because I am of the (insert your ethnic group here) and there isn't a server in my region, I am sign up on the American server, however I would still like to use my own characters for my character's name. please can arena net attend to the problem.

If anyone wishing this problem to be address, please sign this petition. thank you very much.

See, that would work if that was actually his situation. I'm guessing he's just an American that wants a Japanese character in his name because of the mystical aspect Asian characters have to us westerners.

At any rate, using racial slurs is a perfect way to not only get your request denied but make yourself look bigoted and retarded at the same time.

personally I think that the Chinese characters are better than the Japanese kanji (which were originally Chinese characters) there are more Chinese ones than Japanese ones (and I actually studied Japanese so I know what some of them mean as well).
However, the OP has no reason to use foreign characters in his name, just go out an buy a Japanese copy of the game and you will get the kanji and kana----but then you would also need to have the ability to type them on your computer.

I reckon it might be cool to have Chinese/Japanese/Taiwanese characters in my name. It's similar to the people who pay to have guilds made for them with the asian character tags.

EDIT: they're also not "american characters". They're from the English language, not the American language.

Well, I as a Chinese player think we Asian should be able to hold the right of using our own characters. I think that's kind of ridiculous that some western guild having some Asian Character Tag. Some of them may have their meanings. Some may just think those characters look cool. I have been asked several times to open a Chinese tag guild. Some of those people say they just want a Chinese "Symbol" tag, despite their meanings. I think those ppl are a little bit silly. I don't want to see everyone running around with meaningless asian name.

I also think we should have a little bit "advantage" coz of our small population in GW.

I don't think the spelling is nearly as atrocious as the use of, or misuse, in this case, of grammar and punctuation.

Well... since people emigrate, and there could be Japanese in other countries, it makes sense, but... have you tried installing the IME, putting the game in Japanese and trying to input a name?

It should allow you that way. If not then it could be chnaged.

No way what if we forget to add someone to friends list and then realise they had a Asian name how are you meant to spell it??

And if this did come in power which i very much doubt it will why should it be just Americans there is a whole continent called Europe try finding it on a map its really not hard.

And its the English launguage not American. Think you really need to start going to school more.
